Just Thinking

A Republican politician was campaigning in a very rural but very strong Democratic county. After gathering many of the area farmers together he saw the perfect opportunity to share his Republican point of view with these people. He looked around for some sort of stage to stand on but the only thing he could find was a big pile of cow manure. He promptly climbed on top of it and gave his speech. When he was finished a man and his wife approached the politician. The wife said, "This is the first time I have ever seen a Republican politician." The politician replied, "This is the first time I've ever spoken from a Democratic platform."
